Expected Final Cut-off for IBPS PO V

As you all are waiting for the IBPS PO V Iinterview, we are going to give you all aspirants a analysis of the required mark in interview.

Most probably interview is going to start from 15th January, 2016.

So what minimum mark required in Interview to get selected?

As IBPS did not declared written marks of the selected candidates for interview, one must get minimum 76 mark in written to get selected for interview. So we are going to discuss the expected final cutoffs for IBPS PO V in details.

Expected Final cut off for IBPS PO V

Last year in IBPS PO IV final cut off for provisional selection is :- 49.6
Written cut-off for IBPS PO IV :- 82

So, with estimation 82 out of 200 is 32.8 out of 80, as weightage for written and interview is 80:20.

So in IBPS PO V if one get 76 then his/her marks out of 80 is 30.4

So almost 2 marks less than previous year. So we can expected final cut-offs around 47.6 expecting 13500 vacancies.

Passing marks for interview is 40.
Most of the interviewer gives mark in the range of 55-65 if your interview is just average without any arguing and with a formal dress code.

So, safe marks in IBPS PO V writen is 90, as it is 36/80 , so he/she needs only 58 to get selected as it is 11.6/20. So total is 47.6

Thank You. We are adding a detailed analysis in below image. So hope you all got your estimation.

Detailed analysis and Expected cutoffs of IBPS PO Prelims

First of all don't get nervous from some post in Facebook that "I have attempted 80 or 90". Because it is not possible if you are a human (may be they are Rajinikanth, I don't know).
70-75 is the most possible attempt. And most of the students attempt in the range of 45-55.

So, don't get nervous and believe what you do in the examination.Because cutoff will in the range of 38-42.

Compare with SBI Prelims paper is in the same pattern. In SBI cutoff is 47.5 , and student selected in prelims is 40000, but in IBPS PO almost 3.5 lakh student will selected for MAINS as expected vacancy will be 16000-18000.
So, expected cutoff for all category will be,

  • 38-42 (General)
  • 33-37(OBC)
  • 28-32(SC)
  • 15-17(ST)
So,ideal attempt is 48-55 (with at least 90% accuracy) will get anyone through the MAINS.

Tips and Strategy for aspirants of upcoming 11th and 12th October:

Quantitative: Always do one set of DI(because one set is always easy), Approximation(must do), Series(3 out of 5 question easy), quadratic equation (3 out of 5 is easy) and some miscellaneous question of profit loss, percentage ,ratio etc (which are easy out of almost 10 question).
Ideal attempt: 18-21 (in 25 minutes)

Reasoning:  Must do syllogism (4-5 question), inequalities (5 question easiest), Blood relation ( 5 questions), coding-decoding(3 question), seating arrangement linear (moderate level but try it to solve within 5 minutes)

Avoid circular seating arrangement if it take more than 5-6 minutes and puzzle (better to avoid completely)
Ideal Attempt: 18-22(in 20 minutes)

English:  Must do cloze test (5 questions), error spotting (3 out of 5 easy) , fill in the blanks (4 out of 5 easy), antonyms-synonyms in Reading Comprehension (4 question)

Avoid RC and para jumble (1st and last sentence may be obtainable)
Ideal attempt: 14-18 (in 15 minutes)

Best of Luck Aspirants

How many marks required to get selected provisionally in IBPS PO V?

Everyone is preparing for IBPS PO V. And most of you come with one question for sure,

How many marks in written required to be in safe side for selection?

First of all make a plan to score above 100. For this you need a detailed plan and must try to score 25-35 in General Awerness section.Because only current affairs of last 3-4 months question asked unlike SSC CGL.

Reasoning is also scoring portion is IBPS PO except some puzzle type and inward-outward seating arrangement questions. So in this section also one musy score 28-40 marks out of total 50.

Computer section is the easiest. One can easily score 13-19 out of 20.

English section is sometimes hard for Hindi medium student. So one can target 20-31 mark out of 40.

Toughest and time consuming section is Quant section. One must score 14-30 marks out of 50.

So the possible score is 100-155.

Why 100 is the minimum safe score?

If anybody score 100 in written exam. His weightage will be 40 out of 80.
Now he required to score minimum 50 in interview. Which have a weightage of 10. So total marks after interview is (40+10)= 50 . And last year final cutoff is 49.6 for UR category. Remeber IBPS PO have a 80:20 weightage in written and interview. And pass mark in interview is 40 for genaral category.

Hope all of you understand the anlysis. Analysis is based on the last year cutoffs only.

How should prepare for SSC CGL

As we all know SSC CGL is only 30 days away. How should one approach to SSC CGL when preparing.

There is two types of aspirant-
1. One from engineering or MBA background
2. Others from general degree background.

Now 1st of all why it is easy to crack SSC CGL for engineering or MBA student, because they are excellent in aptitude and reasoning, they need only little push in this section in terms of practices.

Engineering or MBA students don't study all the portion of GK. Just go through politics(specially indian constitution etc) , geography and general science , one can scored 22-25 with this portion only.

English preparation is actually habitual and common for all aspirants. Read. The Hindu or Indian Expreaa regularly and revise the grammer rule from any higher english grammer book.

Breakdown of marks an engineering or MBA background students can carry in SSC CGL-

1. Quantitive Aptitude- 35-45 in 40 minute
2. Reasoning- 35-45 in 35 minute
3. English - 35-40 in 30 minute
4. GK- 22-27 in 15 minute

Breakdown of score for other streams
students

1. Quantitive Apti- 30 in 35 minute
2. Reasoning-  30 in 35 minute
3. English- 35-40 in 30 minute
4. GK - 27-30 in 20 minute

Overall score of 130 out of 200 is very good as cut off is not more than 100.
Last year was 96.

Focus and prepare for the subject where you are good and have a faith that you will score in that subject well.

Some good book
1. For quant RS Agarwal is suffucient.
Do study NCERT 10th book for geometry, algebra and trigonometry.
2. Reasoning- Buy any arihant or RPH book
3. English - Higher English grammer by P K D Sarkar or Wren and Martin
4. For GK- Buy a gk book from online store like Manohar pandey book is good. If u have less time than don't buy Lucrent its a large book.

How to choose private b-school in India through?

Recently result of MAT MAY 2015 is declared on 23rd May. (MAT 2015 Result ). Most of the student confused where to take admission. For a top b-school one need to score 650+ composite.
Some of the most reputed colleges need 700+ score.

But the question circulates in every candidates mind - is MBA from private b-school valuable?

Private b-school are charging fees between 7-13 lacs for 2-year MBA or PGDM. So every student accept a good salary after 2-years. But what is real scenario in case of these institute. I have my friends pass out from a so called ranked b-school from Mumbai, but he only settle a job for BPO for 24000 salary a month. His total investment is almost 8 lacs.
So students need to consider some points before selecting private b-school through MAT:

1. Do consult or try to contact pass out students and get the details about placement and internship.
2. Check the industry linkage of the institute as in case of MBA or PGDM, it is very impotant for placement.
3. Check highest and lowest salary offered in campus. Most of the institute give their average salary only. For example if average salary is 5 lacs then may be highest will only 6 lacs and lowest is 4 lacs.
4. Don't get hurry to admission because if a student manage 95-100 percentile in MAT  without prior preparation(most engineers can do it with good mathematical skill), he/she easily get 95-100 percentile with 4 month preparation with good test series and practice.

Still I enlist a number of top colleges under MAT MAY 2015

1. Christ University, Bangalore-website
2. ITM, Navi Mumbai-website
3. Alliance Business School, Bangalore -website
4. Amity Business School, Noida-website
5. IISWBM, Kolkata-website
6. EDI, Gujarat-website
7. Indian Institute of Finance-website
(Note- IISWBM is a govt institute)

All these institute charging 7-12 lacs fees except IISWBM.

So, think properly and decide, for fresher candidate, it is better to gather some work experience and then go for MBA or wait for CAT 2015 and crack top notch IIMs.
Another option is appear in Bank PO or SSC CGL exam.

SSC CGL 2015 written exam pattern

SSC CGL written exam pattern:

CGL Tier I written exam will hold on 9th and 16th of August, 2015. The pattern will be as given below,
There will be four sections:

1.Quantitative Aptitude: This section is most time consuming and tougher than IBPS PO as 40% of the questions asked from geometry and mensuration.
2.Reasoning: This section not as tough as IBPS PO.
3.English: English section is same as IBPS PO.
4.General Awareness: This section is tougher than IBPS PO as one should remember history, geography, politics, science etc. other than current affairs.

But there is an advantage in SSC CGL is no sectional cut-offs. Overall cut-off will in the range of 90- 105 for general category. Last year cut-off is 96.

There are 50 questions in each section carrying 1 mark each. Time allotted is 120 minutes.
So, 200 marks or 200 questions in 2 hours.

Ideal time should devote in every section in the exam:

Quantitative Aptitude=40 minutes
Reasoning= 35 minutes
English= 30 minutes
General Awareness= 15 minute

CGL Tier II Exam pattern:
There will be two compulsory papers as given below,
1. Paper I= Quantitative Aptitude (200 questions-100 marks-2 hours-each carrying 2 marks-negative marking of 0.50 each question)
2. Paper II= English language & comprehension( 200 marks-200 questions-each carrying 1 marks each- 0.25 negative marking each question)
3. Paper III= Statistics(100 question-200 marks-each question carrying  2 marks-0.50 negative marking)

Now all aspirants should concentrate on Tier I exam. I will upload study material as soon as possible
